The Scribbler - The Not So Sensible Side of Wight Scribe
An Alternative Scribe is Born
I blame life, but mostly Sir Terry Pratchett for my alter ego, “The Scribbler”.
Reading his books as a child, Trucks, Diggers and Wings soon spread to me reading The Discworld Series as an adult which happily opened several previously undiscovered doors into my imagination.
His wizardry of wordage, whilst still maintaining a humorous tone could bring me close to tears with the emotion he evoked. But, in contrast, when he amplified the humour up several levels his writings caused snot to fly out of my nose in silvery green streams in any vain attempt at trying to withhold laughter.
Then, added to that influence, Life, having kicked me heavily in the balls on far too many occasions over the years left me a somewhat grumpy, sarcastic and fairly pessimistic sort.
It doesn’t matter if the glass is half empty or half full because I’m mostly miffed about which bastard took a swig of my drink.
